Allied Community Resources

About Us

Allied Community Resources Inc. (ACR) was incorporated in 1999 as a 501c3 non-profit, subsidiary of Allied Community Services. ACR's services focus on three main areas: payroll and payment processing, outreach and training. Allied is headquartered in Connecticut and provides financial management and fiscal agent services for over 4,000 individuals in two states. These individuals participate in several Medicaid Waiver, Cash and Counseling and self-directed programs supported by the Alabama Department of Senior Services and Connecticut’s Departments of Social Services and Developmental Services.

ACR has assisted in state systems change planning and workforce development, worked with state agencies in the implementation of new programs, and successfully assumed services for existing programs.

ACR’s services include statewide provider and vendor outreach, recruitment, credentialing, enrollment and training; household employer enrollment, training and assistance with employer related tasks; and the provision of budget management assistance to participants, families and state workers.

ACR provides training to over 1,000 providers and participants annually regarding Acquired Brain Injury, self-determination, employer responsibilities and program services. Allied manages over $125 million annually in vendor payment and payroll processing and also manages employment taxes and reporting to federal and state agencies on behalf of participant employers.

Allied’s mission is to provide individuals with disabilities or other challenges the opportunity to live and enjoy a productive, fulfilling and independent life.

ACR's parent organization, Allied Community Services, Inc., and its subsidiaries serve more than 5,000 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, physical handicaps and acquired brain injuries, as well as senior citizens, high school students and veterans throughout the state of Connecticut. Allied Community Services, located in Enfield, Connecticut, is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation. Allied provides mailing, janitorial and contract services to state and federal agencies, area businesses and other not-for-profit organizations. In addition, it serves as a "parent corporation" and provides overall management, financial services, human resources, marketing and administrative support for the two subsidiaries, ACR and Allied Rehabilitation Centers.
