Allied Community Resources Inc. (ACR) was incorporated in 1999 as a 501c3 non-profit, subsidiary of Allied Community Services. ACR's services focus on three main areas: payroll and payment processing, outreach and training. All three are provided statewide in Connecticut. ACR's Financial Management Services Division provides services for nine distinct programs under five fiscal intermediary contracts. ACR's Alabama program covers seven counties in the northwest corner of the state.

ACR provides financial management services for over 3,500 individuals participating in Medicaid Waiver, Cash and Counseling, self-directed and pilot programs on behalf of the Alabama Department of Senior Services and Connecticut's Department of Social Services and Department of Developmental Services. Services include statewide provider and vendor outreach, recruitment and training, household employer enrollment, training and assistance, and over $90 million annually in vendor payment and payroll processing.

ACR also provides training to over 1,000 providers and household employers annually and conducts community outreach and enrollment services statewide.

ACR's parent organization, Allied Community Services, Inc., and its subsidiaries serve more than 5,000 individuals with developmental disabilities, mental retardation, physical handicaps and acquired brain injuries, as well as senior citizens, high school students and veterans throughout the state of Connecticut. Allied Community Services, located in East Windsor, Connecticut, is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation. Allied provides mailing, janitorial and contract services to state and federal agencies, area businesses and other not-for-profit organizations. In addition, it serves as a "parent corporation" and provides overall management, financial services, human resources, marketing and administrative support for the two subsidiaries, ACR and Allied Rehabilitation Centers.
