| Allied Community
Resources, Inc. is the fiscal intermediary for the
State of Connecticut, Department of Social Services'
Acquired Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver Program, the
Personal Care Assistance Medicaid Waiver Program and
the CT Home Care Program for Elders Personal Care
Assistance Pilot Program. Allied is also one of
three fiscal intermediaries for the State of
Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation. As
the fiscal intermediary for the four programs,
Allied is responsible for assisting participants in
gaining employer status through the IRS and paying
providers on behalf of the individual receiving
services.
Allied processes all timesheets and invoices,
issues payments to providers, withholds the
appropriate taxes and does tax filing at the end of
the year. All of the programs provide individuals
the choice of hiring their own providers and
employees Allied provides fiduciary services and
other assistance to more than 1,400 individuals who
are able to stay in their own homes and the
community because of the Medicaid Waiver and Pilot
Programs.
